RP from Massachusetts writes ...After some web searching I ordered a hand-crafted "box lid" from ASW Woodcrafts to use open-side-up as a base for an old Rek-o-Kut turntable. I am thrilled with the result. The hardwood maple box is silky-smooth, and all the pieces fit together beautifully. The dimensions are perfect for the size and shape of my turntable. I have now put shock-absorbing rubber feet underneath and introduced hookups in the back of the box for the wires.
The care and attention that Deb and Dan gave to my project was outstanding. We exchanged six or seven e-mails because they wanted to be sure the dimensions I specified would be correct for my project. They sent mock-up images that looked just like the real thing, and we discussed them back and forth until we both felt that they were just right. For Deb and Dan, "hand-crafted" means "individually designed with care" as well as artfully made. And, given the quality and success of the result, the price was modest. The project felt like a creative collaboration, but Deb and Dan did all the work!

I spoke with them about exactly what I wanted for two handgun boxes and they turned my vision into a reality. The boxes were perfect. Three coats of 100% Tung Oil and six coats of lacquer later, I have two heirlooms that my Son and I will treasure for a lifetime. And the best thing about the boxes is MADE IN AMERICA. I mounted the spoon and fork to check for fit and the positioning is perfect! The tilt feature is a brilliant idea Dan came up with and overall, I'll bet this trick box for displaying sterling flatware is quite unique.
